Welcome to Specchec ("Service"), operated by Sangre Strategies LLC ("Company"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Specchec platform at specchec.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

Specchec is a SaaS platform that uses artificial intelligence to extract Division 06/12 casework and millwork specifications from construction project documents.

2. AI-Generated Reports Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Specchec is an AI-powered service and can make mistakes. Reports are provided for informational purposes only. Specchec does NOT guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any report or output. All reports and deliverables MUST be independently reviewed and verified by the end user before being relied upon for any purpose, including bidding, estimating, procurement, or construction. Specchec and Sangre Strategies LLC shall not be held responsible or liable for any mistakes, whether explicit, implicit, or otherwise, contained in any report or deliverable generated by the Service, regardless of the nature or cause. No claim shall be made against Specchec or Sangre Strategies LLC for any loss arising from reliance on any report generated by the Service.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Trial: 2 free extraction reports, no credit card required.

Paid Plans: Solo ($99/month, 25 reports), Starter ($299/month, 100 reports), Pro ($549/month, 400 reports), Enterprise ($999/month, 1,000 reports). Annual billing available at 10% discount.

Overage: Reports beyond your monthly limit: $7.00 (Solo), $5.00 (Starter), $3.00 (Pro), $1.00 (Enterprise).

Billing: Via Stripe. All fees in U.S. dollars, non-refundable except as stated in Section 5. We may modify pricing with 30 days' notice.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancel anytime. Access continues until end of billing period. 14-day refund available on first subscription if fewer than 5 reports used. Annual subscriptions: no partial refunds.

6. Intellectual Property

The Specchec platform is the exclusive property of Sangre Strategies LLC. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service during your subscription. You retain ownership of your uploaded documents and generated reports.

7. Proprietary Technology Protection

You agree that you will NOT reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, extraction logic, or any proprietary methods of the Specchec platform. You will not create, develop, market, or distribute any product, service, or tool that is substantially similar to, derived from, or competitive with Specchec or any of its features, based in whole or in part on knowledge, methods, or insights gained from your use of the Service. In the event that you breach this provision and develop or contribute to a competing product, you agree that Sangre Strategies LLC shall be entitled to ninety percent (90%) of all gross revenue generated by such competing product for a period of five (5) years from first commercial availability. This provision shall survive termination of these Terms. You acknowledge that this provision is reasonable given the proprietary nature of the technology and the competitive harm that would result from misappropriation.

8. Data Handling

Documents are processed via Anthropic's Claude API. Uploaded PDFs are deleted within 24 hours. Your documents are NOT used to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to: use the Service unlawfully; upload malware; reverse engineer the Service; share credentials; resell access; use bots or scrapers; upload documents you don't have rights to; or interfere with the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

SANGRE STRATEGIES LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES PAID BY YOU DURING THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY EXTRACTION REPORT.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Sangre Strategies LLC from claims arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, any bid or construction decision made in reliance on Specchec reports, or content you upload.

13. Dispute Resolution

Governed by Montana law. All disputes resolved exclusively by binding arbitration, administered by an arbitration body selected at the sole discretion of Sangre Strategies LLC, seated in the State of Montana. All arbitration costs, fees, and expenses shall be borne exclusively by the party initiating the claim. Class action waiver applies. 30-day opt-out available by emailing admin@specchec.com. This provision survives termination.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violation of Terms, non-payment, or harmful conduct. Key sections survive termination.

15. DMCA

16. Changes

Material changes communicated 14 days before taking effect.
